The
Glen Eden Institute mission is to maximize the potential of Youth
With Complex Needs by providing individualized,
comprehensive programs that combine clinical and educational services
for each student and their family.
Glen Eden Institutes admits
students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all
the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded
or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate
on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration
of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship
and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered
programs.
While Glen Eden promotes the
highest individual educational attainment, the ability to self-regulate
so as to make constructive decisions and function interpersonally
is deemed a cornerstone now and in the future. |

Dr. Rick Brennan, Director of Glen Eden Institute in Vancouver, Canada, started this unique therapeutic educational program in 1984 after observing a need for highly complex students to have a scientifically based program that could offer education within a physiologically monitored context. |

Our inaugural program was begun 1984
in the British Columbia Province of Canada where it still operates
successfully today. The Glen Eden Institute, a Washington State
approved Private School and Non-Public Agency, was begun in 1999.
We are an IRS 501(C)(3) not-for-profit corporation. The operating
principles are the same for all Glen Eden programs and provide
an alternative for complex youth who by history have not been
successful in the regular classroom. These individuals need an
alternative learning environment that understands and accommodates
their combination of medical, psychological and learning difficulties,
including Special Education. We build upon the positive accomplishments
of every child and family. Glen Eden provides an opportunity,
by objective history, to go beyond their past failures and experiences. |
